INCOMING: Solid. Eventful. Week. Check out what's going down:

The Artisanals and 2 Slices

9 p.m. - 11 p.m. - February 6th

The Royal American

To start the week off, The Artisanals will be playing at the Royal American. Often referred to as "Johnny Delaware's New Band," they’re constituted by dudes we love: Johnny Delaware, Jordan Hicks, Clay Houle, Steven Walker, and Wolfgang Zimmerman (an all-freakin-star cast). They’re brand new but have been rockin’ and rollin’ around, opening for Band of Horses in DC and recording a highly anticipated LP. So go scope their show - it’s sure to be worth every penny of the $10 cover.

Tedo Stone, She Returns from War, and Mail the Horse

9 p.m. - 1 a.m. - February 7th

The Royal American

Day 2. Yes. You’re going back to Royal. This time to catch three more great sets. Stop by to hear Charleston’s beloved She Returns from War folkin’ kill it. 8 bucks y’all, let’s go.

Official Jyve Launch Party

6 p.m. - 8 p.m. - February 8th

Bar Mash

Jyve, a music booking app that connects musicians to local venues, is hosting an event at Bar Mash! We’re talking networking AND drink specials, people. Probably worth checking out.

SondorBlue with Swim in Wild and Näytiv

9 p.m. - 11:30 p.m. - February 9th

The Royal American

You know where you’re headed tonight? You guessed it, The Royal gatdamn American. Again. They’ve got a killer lineup this week, what can I say? This time you get to see SondorBlue and friends. Whether you missed them at Eclectic over the weekend or you saw them and didn’t get quite enough, this event is where it’s at. Come out and support these three Carolina bands.

Chambers Austelle’s Birdcage

6 p.m. - 9 p.m. - February 10th

Beresford Studios

This opening reception is sure to be a fun time and a great chance to, oh so casually, run into interesting people involved in the art community. But it is also, simply, an important exhibit. Take the opportunity to check out the impressive work of Chambers Austelle, who challenges societal representations of women, in the brand new Beresford Studios.

Music Farm Den: Abstract, Speakerbox, The Real PK

8 p.m. - 12 a.m. - February 10th

Music Farm

Hey good lookin', you have plans Friday night? Yeah, you do, you'll be at The Music Farm Den - our new favourite hang out. Come out and watch Abstract (if that name sounds familiar, maybe this will jog your memory), Speakerbox, and the Real PK perform at this event hosted by 1770 Records.

Softer Album Release/Film Screening

8 p.m. - 11 p.m. - February 11th

Redux Contemporary Art Center

There is no justifiable excuse for missing Contour’s event at Redux this week. After a year of artistic labor, Contour is sharing his work with us at this special pre-official release screening and performance event. Come support him and check out his work, which is sure to be fire, and enjoy performances by Niecy Blues and Diaspoura.

Whitehall

8 p.m. - 10 p.m. - February 11th

The Eclectic Cafe & Vinyl

Whitehall's returning to Eclectic for another show that you should probably definitely check out maybe. If you haven't seen these guys perform live yet, it's about time, and if you have... then you know what to do.

Brunch with Stop Light Observations

3 p.m. - 5 p.m. - February 12th

The Eclectic Cafe & Vinyl

Did someone say brunch? Come meet Stop Light Observations (and us!) Sunday afternoon at Eclectic as we celebrate the vinyl release of TOOGOODOO. Brunch will be available for sale and there will be killer drink specials. But, most importantly, Stop Light will be performing in-store!
